The problems of the Azerbaijanis residing in Russia have been mitigated and therefore, we annulled our initiative on conducting protest action in Baku, the Chairman of the Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO), Akif Nagi, informed Trend. He said that due to the representation of the KLO in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, they learn about the attitude towards the migrants and the present situation in Russia. According to Nagi, after the new law on migration came into force in Russia, the Russian policemen and employees of the migration service take bribes from the migrants, including Azerbaijanis. During the reception of the documents for then registration, bureaucratic measures are allowed and the free activities of the migrants are limited. Despite this, the Government of Russia promised to reconsider the law and mitigate the situation. Yet we observe the situation, Nagi said.
