The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Iran, Abbasali Hasanov, stated on February 3, 2007 that presently the citizens of Azerbaijan are given weekly visas in the airport of Tehran city and prolonging them has banned by law, Trend reports.
According to him, the citizens of Azerbaijan who plan to make a visit to Iran should resolve all questions within this period.
There is not visa problem between the sides, but several difficulties appear in such cases the visitors can not leave the country within 7 days due to health condition or other objective reasons, he said, adding that presently a new document on simplifying the acquisition of the visas between the sides and the work in this respect has bee completed.
I want to say that in the near future the visa regime will be liquidated between Iran and Nakchivan Autonomous Republic, Hasanov said.
