The British-Azerbaijani Alumni Association held a regional conference Transferring natural resources to human resources on February 3, 2007, Trend reports.
Making speeches at the opening of the conference, the Ambassador of Great Britain to Azerbaijan, Larry Bristou, Deputy Education Minister of Azerbaijan, Elmar Gasimov and employee of the State Oil Academy of Azerbaijan, Kenan Mustafayev, expressed their attention to the topic and stated that the project will foster the development of the two spheres вЂ" aconomy and education.
The conference mainly covered allocation of large investments obtained from the oil expiration to the study of the Azerbaijani students abroad. Especially the investments may be directed towards increasing the number of students of IT engineer and aviation engineers.
