The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Namik Aliyev, exclusively informed Trend that the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, will make a one-day visit to Tbilisi on February 7th.
He stated that the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan will also go to Tbilisi together with the State Head of Azerbaijan.
During the visit Ilham Aliyev will attend the opening ceremony of Tbilisi International Airport. Also attending will be the President of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili and the Prime Minister of Turkey, Rejep Tayyub Erdogan. In addition, a trilateral agreement is expected to be signed officially between the Governments of Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan regarding the project on Baku-Tbilisi-Akhalkalaki-Kars railway.
The President of Azerbaijan is also expected to participate in the opening of the coastal street named after the National Leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev. The Ambassador said that this territory of Tbilisi, 3,7 km in length, will be called Heydar Aliyev Avenue 1. Furthermore, the President of Azerbaijan will hold bilateral and trilateral meetings with the Heads of Georgia and Turkey.
