A contact on the purchase of 5 Boeing airliners by Azerbaijan state air company AZAL was signed in Baku on February 6th, Trend reports.
Along with two Boeing 737-900s, AZAL will purchase three Boeing 787s.
The cost of the contact is $400mln and part of the funds will be covered by US Exim Bank.
Modifications of Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner can take on board 223-259 passengers with a 3-class saloon to fly a distance of 15,700km and 15,400km respectively. Another modification of the new airliner, Boeing 787-3 Dreamliner, is allocated for 296 passengers on board with a two-class saloon to fly a distance of 6,500km.
