Development of Azerbaijan Creates Necessity to Establish Strong Air Company Boeing Vice President

The Executive Vice President of Boeing Company and President and Director General of Department Boeing вЂ" Civil airplanes, Scott Carson, said on February 6, 2007 in Baku that the development of the region by Azerbaijan will lead to the development of the civil aviation and create necessity to create strong air companies based on modern aircrafts, Trend reports.

Azerbaijan has strongly developed over the past years. The progress in this region caused the necessity of creating an air company based on the most modern aircrafts and we believe that this co-operation will continue, Carson said.

In addition, he said that the development of the international airports in the region and increase of their carrying capacity will lead to the increase of the cargo and passenger transportations and in its turn, will bring the necessity of long-term development of the aviation.

According to him, presently the representatives of Boeing have concluded contract at the international level with 35 companies on acquisition of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts. Together with AZAL, the number of these companies includes companies from Asia, Near East, Africa, Europe, Pacific Ocean region and America. The cross number of the sold Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts over the world is 456. The success of the Company arises from the healthy strategy and conformity of its products with the requirements of the market. The Director General of the State Concern of Azerbaijan AZAL, Jahangir Askerov, said at the ceremony of signing contract on acquisition of three Boeing 787 Dreamliner and two Boeing 737-900 ER aircrafts by Azerbaijan on February 6, 2007 that AZAL is the first Company in CIS, which receives Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts. Other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States will acquire such aircrafts in 2014, 2015, 2016. For the first time, these aircrafts will be used in CIS by

Azerbaijan. These aircrafts will be delivered to Azerbaijan in 2010.
