Zakir Gashimov, Azerbaijan Ambassador to Turkey, informed Trend that no document was signed after the negotiations of Safar Abiyev, Azerbaijan Defence Minister held in Ankara, Trend reports.
According to him, during his two-day visiting Turkey, the Azerbaijan Defence Minister was received by Turkey President, Ahmet Nejdet Sezer, the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Turkish Forces, Gen. Yashar Beyukanit, Turkey Defence Minister, Vejdi Kenul. During the meeting between the Heads of the defence Offices of the two countries, issues on further improvement and expanding of cooperation between the two friendly countries were considered.
Within the official visit to Turkey, the Azerbaijan Defence Minister got acquainted with military-oriented electronic appliances produced by the known producer, Aselsan.
The last item in the agenda of the visit of Mr. Abiyev to Turkey is the meeting with Redjeb Tayyib Erdogan, Turkey Prime Minister, after which the Azerbaijan Defence Minister will conclude his visit.
