Husseyn Pashayev, the Chief of the Press-Service of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), informed Trend that port-back election conferences have been held in 65 out of the total 84 district and town organizations of the ruling party.
He said that the conferences in the district and town organizations were expected to be completed till the end of February, 2007.
The conferences are organized once in two years in accordance with the Charter. On January 26, during the sitting of the Board of YAP, the information concerning the conferences held in the district and town organizations. During the sitting, it was noted that the conferences were organized and held in accordance with the Charter and the rules adopted by the Executive Board of the Party. On the whole, the conferences were organized and held on a high level, said the representative of the ruling party.
Mr. Pashayev said that in result of the conferences held, the chairpersons of 10 district and town organizations of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) were substituted with new ones.
YAP was founded in Nakhchivan on 1992. The All-National Leader, late Ex-President Heydar Aliyev was the first Chairman of the Party. President Ilham Aliyev is the present Chairman of the Party. It rules for 14 years now.
