Ismat Abbaov, the Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister, stated on February 7th 2007 that so far, no case of mass plague of poultry and wild animal of bird flu' has been seen in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
This issue is under consideration of the relevant public bodies and all measures have been taken in fighting with virus.
Though last year the situation with bird flu' in Azerbaijan was absolutely different, this year no alarming announcements were made, the Minister stressed.
H5N1 virus was found in Azerbaijan at the beginning of 2006 in wild animal carcasses collected along the Caspian Sea coast.
