Nuraddin Hassanov, the Chief of the Department for Criminal Scene Investigations of the Azerbaijan Interior Ministry, informed Trend that the staff of crime investigators of the Azerbaijan Interior Ministry remains stable and is not expected to be extended in the near future.
Starting from 1992, Azerbaijan has experienced a decline in the crime rate. Some districts of the country do not need to complete their staff. Crime investigators of the Azerbaijan Interior Ministry carry out 18 kinds of different expert examinations. Every year, several officers of the Department go to Vienna to pass trainings to study new methods and ways of criminal law in the Criminalistics Centre of the Austrian Capital. Our specialists are on the same level with foreign ones. Azerbaijan crime investigators are provided with the state-of-the-art equipment, said Mr. Hassanov.
