The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkey, Zakir Hashimov, exclusively informed Trend that there are no Azerbaijanis among the people injured during the earthquake taken place in the morning of February 9, 2007 in Elazig province of Turkey.
According to the preliminary data, the earthquake was at 4:22 local time. 20 people have been injured. According to the information provided by the local powers, a number of houses and administrative buildings damaged during the earthquake, but the exact damages inflicted by the earthquake have not been defined yet. Seismologists state that the epicenter of the earthquake is located in Sivirce district.
