Hussein Avni Karslioghlu, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan, said during the meeting with representatives of Azerbaijan leading media sources that the air flight between the Azerbaijan Capital and the Turkish Province of Kars may be open if it is rentable.

According to him, the Turkish Government positively assesses and supports the possibility on the opening of the air flight between Kars and Baku. However, the opening of such a flight should not have only a political nature, but also have a political motivation, since, on the contrary, the airlines would work at a loss, said the Turkish diplomat. He considers that both state-controlled and private airlines may view the possibility on opening such flights, and will launch flight if it is rentable. At the same time, Mr. Karslioghlu considers it possible to open charter flights and landing them in Kars via Baku - Istanbul and Ankara and vice-versa.

During the recent meeting with representatives of Azerbaijan leading media sources, the authorities of the Turkish Province of Kars said that they wanted to open the air flight between Kars and Baku. According to them, the opening of the flight will expand economic, cultural, and public ties on one hand. On the other hand Kars may become a transit point on the way of those who want to reach other Turkish provinces and vice versa.
