The Chairman of the National TV and Radio Council of Azerbaijan, Nushiravan Maharramli, informed Trend that the results of the competition announced by the Council for the frequency of ANS TV was annulled. The meeting of the Council on February 9, 2007 covered the results of the competition announced for the frequency of ANS. Founders of ANS did not participate at the meeting. A decision was made to renew the competition for the frequency of ANS.
The National TV and Radio Council of Azerbaijan had made a decision to terminate the transmission of ANS in November 2007 and announced a competition for its frequency, basing on the issue that ANS has broke the requirements of the law On broadcasting.
