Abbasali Hassanov, Azerbaijan Ambassador to Iran, exclusively informed Trend that preparatory works for the next meeting of the working group for the legal status of the Caspian Sea is underway.
The forthcoming meeting is expected to be held in Tehran at the end of February, or beginning of March, 2007. The preliminary agreement on this issue was reached during the recent visit of Mehti Safari, the Special Representative of the Iranian President for the Caspian Issue, Deputy Iran's Foreign Minister to Azerbaijan. The more concrete date of the meeting of the five-sided working group will be determined buy diplomatic channels, said the Azerbaijan diplomat.
