The co-founder of Azadlyg Political Block and Chairman of the Citizen and Development Party, Ali Aliyev, informed Trend that the next meeting of the Council of Chairmen of the Block will take place on February 13th, to discuss the situation in Azerbaijan Democratic Party (ADP).
He stressed that other parties represented in Azadlyg Block have made it clear to themselves the emerging situation in ADP. The issue will be discussed at the meeting of the Council of Chairmen and a decision will be made on who will represent ADP in the Block.
At present ADP is represented in the Council of Chairmen by the ADP First Deputy Chairman, Sardar Jalaloglu. However, according to an order of the ADP Chairman, Rasul Guliyev dated February 10th, Jalaloglu was dismissed from his position and the Chairman of the ADP High Assembly, Akif Shahbazov, was appointed as the ADP representative in Azadlyg. But the Head of ADP and Sardar Jalaloglu do not accept this order. Shahbazov said that he will attend the meeting of the Council of Chairmen.
Aliyev refused to express an opinion towards Shahbazov's wish to attend the meeting. We will co-operate with the legitimate organizations of ADP, he said. In addition, Aliyev refused to answer the question of if he considers Shahbazov representative of the ADP legitimate organization.
