Azerbaijan Ambassador to Ukraine Invited Leaders of Assembly of Crimean Tatars to Participate at First Forum of Azerbaijan-Turkish Diaspora Organizations

Talat Aliyev, Azerbaijan Ambassador to Ukraine, invited the leadership of the Majlis (Assembly) of Crimean Tatars to the Fisrt Forum of Azerbaijan and Turkish Diaspora Organizations to be held in Baku on March 9, 2007, a Press-Service of the Majlis of Crimean Tatars said, Trend Correspondent to Kiev reports.

During his recent visit to Crimea, the Azerbaijan Ambassador presented the invitation to Mustafa Jemilev, the Chairman of the Majlis of Crimean Tatars and his deputy, Refat Chubarov. The Diplomat said that the International Turkic Congress is held under the patronage of the Azerbaijan President and Turkish Prime-Minister, and that he was authorized to present the official invitations to Mr. Jemilev and Mr. Chubarov to take part in the work of this conference.

For his part, the leader of the Majlis presented an invitation to the Azerbaijan Ambassador to Ukraine to take part in the arrangement dedicated to the 70th jubilee of Aysha Seytmuratova, an activist of the National Movement of Crimean Tatars. The arrangement is expected to be held in the Crimean Tatar Theater in Simpheropol on February 17, 2007.

In addition, during the meeting, the parties discussed the current social and political situation in Crimea.
