The Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Sergey Mironov, will make an official visit to Azerbaijan at the end of March, Trend reports with reference to International Relations Department of the Council of Federation.
Presently the exact date of the visit is agreed with the Azerbaijani side. In addition, the program of the visit is specified. However, as expected, the key items of the visit will be negotiations with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Oktay Asadov and meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. Mironov's visit had to take place at the end of 2006, but it was postponed due to organizational questions.
