MP Sardar Jalaloghlu: Ex-Speaker's Dismissal from Democratic Party a Result of Mistakes He Made

The Chairman of the Organizational Committee of Azerbaijan Democratic Party for Preparation to the Congress, Sardar Jalaloglu, stated on 19 February at the press conference that during the joint sitting of the ADP Organizational Committee and Central Control & Inspection Commission, a decision was made to dismiss the ADP Chairman, Rasul Guliyev, from the ranks of the Party, adding that his dismissal resulted from misconduct, Trend reports.

He stressed that Rasul Guliyev was dismissed from the ranks of the Party due to an issue recently where he supported a negative position within the Party, created discord and confrontation amongst the Party members, misused his authority as chairman, violated the Party's regulations and did not fulfill his responsibilities.

According Sardar Jalaloglu, the meeting of ADP High Assembly on 18 February 2007 was attended only by 20 members of the High Assembly. Organizational Committee and Central Control and the Inspection Commission warned previously that members who participate in illegal meetings held on behalf of the Party will be punished severely. Therefore, Rasul Guliyev, Zamina Dunyamaliyeva, Yagub Abbasov, Solmaz Aleskerova, Zakir Abbasov and Jala Jafarova were dismissed from the ranks of the Party due to their participation at this meeting. The regional departments were given orders to take measures regarding other persons, Jalaloglu said.

According to him, they will appeal to Narimanov District Court for taking measures against the persons who speak illegally on behalf of ADP.
