Azerbaijan , Baku / Trend , corr . S. Ilhamgizi/ Tofig Guliyev, a lawyer of the Party of Popular Front, informed Trend that an appeal complaint initiated by the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Party of Popular Front, Ali Karimli has been considered in the Azerbaijan Court of Appeals presided by Judge Mirza Taghizadeh.

Due to non-presenting an ID to the Chairman of the Party, a suit against the Public Prosecutor Office was brought in the Nasimi Court by Mr. Karimli. The Court did not answered the claim of the Chairman of the Popular Front Party.

Mugabil Khalilov, the deputy Public Prosecutor of Nasimi District gave a speech from the party of appellee. He said that the request concerning receiving an ID made by the Chairman of the Popular Front had been sent to the corresponding bodies. Mr. Karimli was explained that he should appeal to police. Tofig Guliyev, a lawyer of plaintiff, said that the criminal case initiated against Mr. Karimli was under the legal proceedings of the Public Prosecutor Office of Nasimi District, and the fact that he could not receive his ID because of his criminal case had nothing to do with police.

The Judge commissioned the appellee to submit the corresponding documents (a reply on the notice made by Mr. Karimli ) to the Court. The Court has made up a decision to continue the legal proceedings on March 7, 2007.
