Azerbaijan, Baku /Trend, corr . S. Aghayeva / Emin Eyyubov , Azerbaijan Ambassador to Belgium, said that bringing to the attention of the Belgium society, the realities of the Khodjali Genocide, facts of real reasons and consequences of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, suppressing the lei and conjectures, which spread by the Armenian Diaspora for many years is the key task to be fulfilled by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azerbaijan Embassy to Belgium, which are the organizers of the arrangement dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Khodjali Tragedy to be held in Brussels.
According to the Ambassador, on February 26, a ceremony on honouring the memory of the victims of the Khodjali Tragedy will be held in the Centre for European Research and Studies. An exposition of works selected during the photograph competition to the topic - " Khodjali by Children's Eyes", which was organized and held in general education schools, children homes of the country by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation during the forthcoming event.
A documentary, "The Khodjali Genocide", sponsored by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation will be screened during the event. Participants of the forthcoming ceremony will get acquainted with photographs reflecting the barbarity of Armenian chauvinists in Khodjali , as well as materials about the Khodjali Tragedy published in different well-known foreign publications. Collection "The Truth about Karabakh " is expected to be distributed among the society within the forthcoming event.
According to the Ambassador, representatives of the diplomatic corpus accredited in Belgium , international organizations, particularly, EU agencies and offices, members of the European Parliament, representatives of NGOs and media have been invited to take part in the forthcoming ceremony.
The forthcoming event is expected to be widely covered in local and foreign press. The Azerbaijani Embassy also plans to spread a press-release telling about the tragic events, which to be sent to embassies, international organizations, NGOs, and public agencies.
In addition, an action of protest is expected to be organized by Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations operating in Belgium in front of the Armenian Embassy to Belgium and the building where many European organizations sit.
