Azerbaijan , Baku / corr . Trend I.Khalilova/ ASR is going to raise the tariffs for freight transportation on international directions. Azerbaijan Tariff Council is considering the tariff rise proposal, said Musa Panahov, deputy minister of Transport of Azerbaijan on Friday.
The deputy minister also said the council was considering ASR economically rentable proposals .
"Energy carriers' January price hike in Azerbaijan 's internal market stimulated the tariff rise," he said.
According to Panahov, such tariff variant had to be adopted that did not decrease freight transportation rate.
"Transport corridors witness constant competition in transport corridors. Therefore such tariffs should be adopted that we did not loose freights but on the contrary attract new freights," said Panahov.
