Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Alizade / The Armed Forces of Azerbaijan should be fully brought into conformity with NATO standards by the end of 2008. The member of the Azerbaijani delegation to NATO and member of Azerbaijan Parliament's Commission for Security and Defense Affairs, Siyavush Novruzov, said that it includes the training-education system, call-up to military service, modernization of military-industrial complexes.
According to him, officials of NATO highly assess Azerbaijan's co-operation with NATO. Amongst the former Soviet countries, Azerbaijan is a State closely co-operating with NATO.
