Azeri MP: Azeri Foreign Ministry Should Require Explanations from Iran

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Alizade / The member of Milli Majlis [Azerbaijani Parliament], Nasib Nasibli, said at the meeting of the Parliament on 6 March that the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan should require explanations from Iran for police's wildly shattering the action of the Azerbaijanis linked with the 15th anniversary of Khojaly Genocide. Nasibli said that the victims of Khojaly Genocide are Muslims. He stressed that the action held in front of the Embassy of Armenia in Tehran on 26 February was also prevented by the police of Iran.

In addition, Nasibli said that the national activists of South are detained in the prison transformed into the symbol of torture. Alekper Azad, one of the people arrested during actions, is also kept in this prison.

Nasibli offered to hold hearing in the Parliament in connection with this issue.
