Zarbaliyeva / As a result of the incident that took place between the police officers and sellers due to the demolition of the Meat Market situated in Sharifzadeh street (Yasamal district) 8 March, Office of District Prosecutor has instituted legal proceedings, Article 186.1 (deliberate destruction or damage of property), Article 315.2 (resistance or use of force towards a public agent) of the Criminal Code.
Alakbar Rzayev, Investigator of the Yasamal District Prosecutor Office, reported that due to the incident, several people were detained and an investigation is underway. He did not exclude the possibility of an increase in the number of detainees during the investigation.
During the incident, 8 police officers were injured. One of them is Deputy Chief of Yasamal District Police Office Chingiz Mammadov.
