Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr. A. Ismayilova / Yashar Aliyev, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to USA, has told Trend that a Memorandum in the Sphere of Energy is expected to be signed within the forthcoming visit of Elmar Mammadyarov, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister to USA.
The visit of the Azerbaijani Minister to USA has been scheduled for March 19-23, 2007. Preparatory works for the visit are under complementation now. During the forthcoming visit, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister is expected to meet Condoleezza Rice, the U. S. State Secretary. Notably, Mr. Mammadyarov will visit USA just by the invitation made by the U. S. State Secretary. The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister is also expected to meet other American top officials from the U. S. Presidential Administration and Congress.
Agshin Mehtiyev, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to U.N. told Trend that during his forthcoming visit to USA, the Head of the Azerbaijani Foreign Office will visit New-York, where he will hold a meeting with the U. N. Secretary General, Pan Gee Mun.
