Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr E. Huseynly / Khalaf Khalafov, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, reported that the Turkmenistan Embassy in Azerbaijan will be re-established in the near future. Intergovernmental relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan are satisfactory with possibilities for their development.
"The only issue to be discussed with Turkmenistan is connected with the Caspian Sea. This issue has not been agreed upon as yet and bilateral negotiations are held to resolve the issue on the division of the Caspian Sea. I believe the possibilities for negotiations are still great," Khalafov informed.
Khalafov added that Baku intends to develop economic, political and cultural co-operation with Turkmenistan and Ashgabat will use this opportunity too.
