Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Alizade / The member of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, MP Aydin Mirzazade, stated that Azerbaijan has fulfilled its obligations undertaken before the Council of Europe at a high level. According to him, therefore, there should be no problems for Azerbaijan during the April session of the PACE which will focus on the fulfillment of obligations.

" Azerbaijan has co-operated with PACE co-rapporteurs, provided them with the necessary information on work done and fulfilled its obligations. I feel that the report by PACE should be positive," he said.

Mirzazade said that several Council of Europe participating countries have not abolished the death sentence and have not joined the European Charter on Human Rights. " Azerbaijan had resolved this issue before joining the Council of Europe and fulfilled all its obligations," he said.

The spring session of the PACE due in Strasburg in April will cover the report on Azerbaijan's fulfillment of its obligations.
