Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Alizade / On 27 March the delegation of the ruling party of China, headed by the Deputy Chief of the Foreign Relations Department of Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Ma Venpun, met with the Head of ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP).
Firstly the members of the Chinese delegation visited the grave of the ex-president of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, in Avenue of Honorable Burial and Martyrs' Avenue. The meeting was attended by the Executive Secretary of NAP, MP Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Executive Secretary, MP Mubariz Gurbanli, Deputy Executive Secretary, MP Siyavush Novruzov and others.
Ali Ahmadov said that the mutual visits foster the development of the relations between the two countries. He said that there are good relations between Communist Party of China and New Azerbaijan Party.
Ma Venpun stressed that the diplomatic relations between China and Azerbaijan are at top level. He said that China is prepared to support Azerbaijan within international organizations.
Moreover, the meeting covered issues of bilateral interest. New Azerbaijan Party was created in 1992 in Nakchivan Autonomous Republic by Heydar Aliyev. Presently NAP is chaired by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
