Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Alizade / The Representative of the United Nations Secretary General on the Human Rights of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), Mr. Walter Kalin will be visiting Azerbaijan from 2 April to 6 April 2007 at the invitation of the Government of Azerbaijan.
During this official mission, the Representative of the Secretary General intends to meet with senior government officials, in particular those in charge of issues related to human rights of IDPs. The Representative of the Secretary General also intends to meet with representatives from civil society as well as persons affected by internal displacement.
On the last day of his mission, Mr. Kalin is expected to give a press conference to local and international media representatives.
