Georgia, Baku /corr Trend H.Kirtzkhalia / Advisor for US Assistant Secretary General, Metthew Bryze, believs that no additional pilelines will hinder full implementation of Baku-Tblisi-Ceyhan Main oil Pipeline (BTC) and South-Caucasus Gas Pipeline Projects. Bryze was commenting on the implementation of Novorossiysk-Burgas-Alexandropulos Oil Pipeline project, 31 March.
"We were informed on the project during the work over BTC, but the fact did not block the implementation of BTC project as the pipeline is of great commercial significance," Bryze said.
The American Diplomat noted that Novorossiysk-Burgas-Alexandropulos project is not an extraordinary one, as all the countries seek alternatives and construction of new mains is implemented for that reason.
"We hope our partners in NATO, that is Greece and Bulgaria, will economically utilize national actives," Bryze urged evasively.
The Advisor stressed there is no threat for gas supplies, since South-Caucasus Pipeline will deliver gas to Turkey, from there to Greece, and farther to Europe. "Volume of the gas supplied to Greece will increase as well as the significance of the project," Bryse added.
