The Musavat Party sent an appeal to the opposition parties to attend the demonstration on 29 April. Aliyev said that the parties represented in Azadlyg Block did not participate in organizing the demonstration. "Therefore, our participation in Musavat's demonstrations is impossible," Aliyev said, stressing that they have not banned their supporters from joining the demonstration
.
According to Aliyev, Musavat should reconsider the conduct of its actions. "The small amount of participants taking part in the Musavat demonstrations reveals that the population is not interested in participating even in the most genuine events," Aliyev stated.
Azadlyg Block brings together three opposition parties, Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, Liberal Party, Citizen and Development Party.
