Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Alizade / The congress of Azerbaijan Democratic Party (ADP) headed by Rasul Guliyev, which takes place at the office of Musavat Party brings together nearly 150 participants. At the beginning, Akif Shahbazov, Zamina Dunyamaliyeva and Yagub Abbasov were elected as members to the Executive Committee. The Deputy Chairman of the Organizational Committee for Preparation to ADP Congress, Akif Shahbazov, delivered a report regarding the preparation to the congress. He said that conferences were held in 59 regional departments and 450 representatives were selected to attend the congress. However, due to the problem with the place to hold the event, the congress is attended by nearly 150 representatives of the party.
Thereafter, a program of the congress was confirmed and accounting committee and secretariat were formed. The program included the report of the Organizational Committee, letter of Rasul Guliyev and report of the Chairman of the Higher Assembly. Shahbazov said that it is planned to make amendments to the Regulation of the party during the congress.
Irrespective of the invitation, the heads of the opposition parties did not attend the meeting. As guests, the congress was attended by only Deputy Chairman of Adalat Party, Chairman of Azerbaijan National Unity Party, Hajibaba Azimov, and Head of the Public Union "Returning to West Azerbaijan", Rizvan Talibov.
