Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. A. Gafarov/ Twenty six conscripts, who deviated from military service in the Azerbaijani Army, all from the northern regions of Azerbaijan have been called up nevertheless, sources at Military Registration and Enlistment Offices of the districts of Guba, Gusar, and Khachmaz said today.
From the 1 April 1, when the spring call up to real military service began, seven are Guba District born, fourteen are Gusar District born and five are Khachmaz District born have returned home from neighboring Russia and other countries, and called up. Information sources said that due to the fact that these districts of the country are bordering Russia, some men escape to the neighboring country to avoid military service in the homeland. Then, they enter various Russian universities which have no corresponding licenses, get employed and even start families.
