Azerbaijani Interior Minister Says Azerbaijan to Apply Russian Experience in the Field of Migration Legislation

Russia, Moscow/ Trend , corr. R. Aghayev/ Ramil Usubov, Azerbaijan's Interior Minister, stated during the press-conference held in Moscow that Azerbaijan would apply the Rusian experience in the field of migration legislation.

"To be informed about the foreign citizen arriving in, know the purpose of his or her arrival, his or her occupation, etc, is of a great importance for the domestic security of the country. It is vital not only for Russia, but also for present-day Azerbaijan." Said the Azerbaijani Minister.

He said that he had discussed the recent alterations to be made into the Russian migration legislation, which has tightened the control over migrants, with his Russian counterpart, Rasheed Nurgaliyev.

In his turn, the Head of the Russian Domestic Office once more stressed that the ultimate goal of the changes to be moved to the migration legislation of the country was to establish the corresponding order in this field, as well as protect the rights of migrants and foreign citizens arriving in Russia.

Answering the question concerning his evaluating the activity of the Azerbaijani State Committee founded due to the recent changes in the Russian Migration Legislation, the Azerbaijani Interior Minister said that all duties and obligations charged by the Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev had been fulfilled quite timely and neatly that then had brought their positive results.

Mr. Usubov said that the present-day realities gave us grounds to speak that despite of the panic being spread, a massive outflow of Azerbaijanis from Russian had not occurred. He reminded that as a result of the measures taken by the State Committee, The Azerbaijani Embassy to Moscow and Consulate General to St. Petersburg had presented Azerbaijan national passports to about 2.000 our citizens.
