Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Aghayeva / The Embassy of France in Azerbaijan reported on 23 April that Nicola Sarcozi won the first presidential voting held in the Embassy in Baku. The elections were attended by 75% of French citizens residing in Baku.
The voter's list included 71 names. The Embassy noted that the elections passed without any hitches.
As a result of the presidential elections in France, member of the ruling conservative party Union for People's Movement, Nicola Sarcozi, and member of the opposition Social Party, Segolen Royal, passed to the second round of voting.
