Azerbaijan to be Represented by Deputy FM at Meeting of CIS Council of Foreign Ministers
Kazakhstan, Astana / corr. Trend E.Huseynov / Azerbaijan will be represented by the Deputy Foreign Minister, Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev, at the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers scheduled to take place on 25 April in Astana. According to the information provided by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan, Mammad-Guliyev will substitute the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, who is on a visit to South Korea.
The meeting of the Council will cover nearly twenty issues regarding development of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), including activities of the CIS Council for Cultural Co-operation and International Council for Emergency Situations. The meeting participants will discuss the issues regarding realization of the 2006 plan of multi-level consultation between Foreign Ministries within CIS and regarding 2007 plan of consultations. In addition, the meeting will focus on the documents concerning activities of the Collective Forces for Support of Peace in conflict zone in Abkhazia, Georgia.
Moreover, the Foreign Ministers will discuss the project of the agenda of the next meeting of the Council of Government Heads.
