Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend E.Huseynly / The Co-chair of the Azerbaijani-Turkish Inter-Parliamentary Friendly Group, MP Nizami Jafarov, stated that the Azerbaijan Parliament's Permanent Commission for Cultural Affairs is preparing a law draft "On creative unions".
He said that the law will reflect issues on the functions of creative organizations, as well as financing of these unions by the State. According to Jafarov, the law draft aims to divide the creative organizations from NGOs because NGOs are public organizations. "Such a practice already exists in Ukraine and Russia. The law draft will be presented to the creative unions for their opinions and then it will be presented for discussions in Parliament," Jafarov said.
