Leader of Azerbaijani National Independent Party Offers Proposals
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. E.Huseinli / Ayaz Rustamov, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan National Independent Party (ANIP) stated on 7 May, 2007 that the leader of the party, Etibar Mammadov, laid definite commitments for members of the Political Organization to restore the authority of this political party that was demonstrated previously.
Rustamov noted that this issue was discussed on 5 May during a meeting with Mammadov and members of the ANIP Baku branches. During the meeting Rustamov spoke about the current state of the political organizations, made his proposals in this respect and stressed the importance of strengthening the activities of ANIP's central and regional branches. According to Rustamov, the party plans to exercise a range of measures to resolve their problems.
The ANIP was founded in 1992. Etibar Mammadov was the leader of the party for twelve years and in 2004 he resigned at his own free will.
