Belgium, Brussels / corr. Trend R.Tagiyev / Initiated by the European Forum of the Azerbaijani Students (EFAS), a conference 'Synergy of energy: Caspian Sea as eastern shore of Europe' will take place on 15 May in Brussels in the European Parliament building.
The EFAS Secretary-General, Vusal Mammadov, informed Trend that the conference will bring together the Head of the Caucasus Parliamentary Group of the European Union, Ishler Mary Beguan, members of the European Parliament, Georgi Shepflin, Gannes Svoboda, Vice-President of Statoil Company, Arve Torvik and several parliamentarians from Azerbaijan.
Mammadov said that the conference will focus on Azerbaijan's transformation from an oil-producing country into one of the key energy transit countries. In addition, the event will cover transportation of the energy resources of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to the European markets via Azerbaijan, energy security strategy of Europe and Azerbaijan's integration into Europe.
