State Heads of Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Georgia Discuss Forthcoming summit of GUAM

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Agayev / The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Poland, Vilayat Guliyev, has said that on 11 May the State Heads of Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Georgia held discussions in the Polish city Krakow over the forthcoming summit of GUAM countries, which will take place in Baku on 19 June.

The Presidents of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, Ukraine, Victor Yushenka and Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, exchanged views on documents which will be signed within the upcoming summit. The Presidents highlighted the importance to develop co-operation within GUAM, held consultations on projects intended to be realized within GUAM, as well as the development prospects of the organization, the Ambassador said.

The meeting, including the participation of the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Poland and Lithuanian, took place at the energy summit initiated by the President of Poland.
