Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. I.Alizade / The meeting of Azerbaijan Parliament's Permanent Commission on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology focused on the draft law on amendments and annexes on manufacturing and domestic wastes, the Parliament's Press Service informs.
The Deputy Chairman of the Commission, Elton Mammadov, said that the necessity to make amendments appeared after Azerbaijan joined international conventions in 2001 and created a new organization. The law was adopted in 1998 and presently needs to protect the environment in accordance with European standards.
The draft law is ready for consideration by the Parliament.
