Dynamic of gdp change due to consumption

In January to March 2007 the GDP calculated through the consumption method comprised AZN 3,459,7mln, or 32.8% more than the GDP ratio calculated by the State Statistics Committee through the production method.

Drop was observed in the special weight of investment consumption in the total amount of aggregate consumption from 37.6% in 2006 to 34.1% in 2007.

Special weight of aggregate consumption demand rose from 50.5% in January 2006 to 52.5% in 2007.

Public consumption grew both in absolute and relative prices. The expenses for purchase of goods and services dropped from 38.2% to 25.5% as compared to 2006, while the special weight grew from 7.4% to 7.9% in the structure of consumption

In January to February 2007 local production failed to cover domestic demand, while import covered the considerable part of demand. As to foreign demand on local export product it remains to be high, while the export sector speeds up.

The special weight of export in GDP rose from 4.5% in January to March 2006 to 5.46% in 2007.
