President of Azerbaijan to Attend BSEC Summit in Istanbul

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend E.Huseynly / The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkey, Zakir Hashimov, said on 14 May that the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, will leave for Turkey to attend the summit of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) on 25 June in Istanbul. According to him, the meeting of the representatives of the Foreign Ministries of the BSEC member-countries began on 14 May in Antalya at the level of working group. The meeting focused on the issues that will be discussed at the summit.

BSEC brings together 11 countries, including Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine. Poland, Israel, Slovakia, Egypt, Tunisia, Italy and Austria have the status of observers in the organization.
