Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Ilhamgizi / MP Asim Mollazade, the Chairman of the Democratic Reforms Party (DRP) of Azerbaijan stated that no serious rivalry exists between Azerbaijan and Russia in the energy sector.

The implementation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan export oil pipeline and the Baku-Erzerum gas pipeline does not trouble Moscow as Russia is able deliver to the world markets the oil produced in the northern part of the Caspian Sea, Mollazade said. The Russian President plans to hold talks with the leader of Kazakhstan.

After the Russian President Vladimir Putin came into power, Moscow's policy towards Azerbaijan has become more balanced and Armenia does not receive any military assistance from Russia as in the past, the MP added.

" Russia realizes the significance of Azerbaijan, although the existing potential is not properly utilized to upgrade bilateral relations. It is not necessary to make the Russians aware of maintaining the Russian culture and language in their country. Our countries are interrelated with close historic and culture relationships. At present mutual propaganda could be promoted greatly to contribute the closeness of the two cultures," MP Mollazade stressed.
