Number of Complaints on Police Decreases by 39.6%
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. E.Huseyinli / The number of the complaints on the policemen to the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry has decreased by 10.2% in the first quarter of 2007 as compared to 2006.
Nazim Aliyev, the Head of the Ministry's Secretariat, stated during the meeting of the Ministry held on 25 May that the number of complaints on policemen, submitted to the Executive Apparat of Azerbaijan President, decreased by 39.6% as compared with 2006.
As compared to 2005, the number of complaints in 2006 decreased by 12.8%, the total appeals by 4.9% and appeals submitted to the high State bodies by 6.8%.
In accordance with the complaints, necessary measures have been undertaken against 21 policemen.
