Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Agayeva / David A Sampson, the Deputy Secretary of the US Commerce Department, stated at a charitable event in Baku on 4 June that Azerbaijan is one of the US's major partners.
The United States can greatly contribute to the Azerbaijani economy. The key objective of the visit is the consolidation of trade relations between the two countries. The major topic of talks will be issues of cooperation in the non-oil sector. Simpson plans to hold meetings in different ministries and departments of the Azerbaijani Government.
During the visit to Baku the Deputy Secretary presented on behalf of McDonalds a Mercedes bus with special equipment to the Centre on Work with disabled children. The existence of such transport will open up broad opportunities for children with physical disabilities, enabling them to visit rehabilitation institutions for their development and enjoyment.
