Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / Sardar Jalaloglu , the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (DPA), has stated that the DPA will develop and submit a conception of proposals regarding a dialogue between the Authority and the opposition to the Azerbaijani Government for discussions on peacefully resolving the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.

The presidium of the party was held under the chairmanship of Jalaloglu on the 11th of June.

The social-political situation in the country, organizational issues, and the situation around the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were discussed at the presidium.

The presidium positively assessed a statement from the OSCE's chairman concerning the importance of dialogue between the authority and the opposition in Azerbaijan. During the presidium a new conception reflected the agreement of both sides, and has been considered.

The representatives of the DPA have decided to participate at the rally, protesting against the illegal arrests of journalists.

DPA has submitted its proposals in written form regarding a dialogue between the authority and opposition to the Azerbaijani Government.

DPA was found by Jalaloglu in 1991. The party changed its political course in dialogue with the authority in January, 2007.
