Alizadeh / Azerbaijani MPs did not give way to serious violations of discipline during the spring session of the parliament, the chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani parliament), MP Aghajan Abiyev, reported on 15 June in Baku. He noted that the only disciplinary violation during the session was the incident between MPs Fazayil Aghamaly, and Huseyn Abdullayev. Abiyev said that the parliament had adopted a number of important laws.
According to Abiyev, although several MPs did not participate in the meetings of Milli Majlis, they did not receive any warnings. The MPs had good reasons to be absent.
In accordance with legislation, the spring session of Milli Majlis lasts from 1 February to 31 May. Given a number of important bills in the agenda, the term of session was extended to 16 June.
