Opposition Coordinating Centre to be Established in Azerbaijan on Threshold of Elections

Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / A Coordinating Centre of the opposition is being established in Azerbaijan on the threshold of the elections, the Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (DPA), Nuraddin Mammadli, reported.

The talks on the establishment of a new opposition unity have already begun with participation of several parties. Within the framework of the new organization, opposition parties will consolidate their forces to fight for democratic elections.

The talks are being held with the participation of the directors of the DPA, the Socio-Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, the National Independence of Azerbaijan Party, the Musavat, and the Taraggy.

The political bloc of Azadlyg, which includes three Azerbaijani opposition parties, and the Open Society Party have refused membership to the organization.
