Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Ilhamgizi / On 20 June, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev received the Chairman of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK), Oleg Dobrodeyev.
Oleg Dobrodeyev said he started his current visit by paying respect to Azerbaijan's nationwide leader, Heydar Aliyev, and his spouse Zarifa Aliyeva at the Alley of Honors.
The VGTRK Chief said that while in Baku, he witnessed Azerbaijan's progress in its economic development. Referring to the role of Russian language in the Azerbaijani people's everyday life, Dobrodeyev appreciated this highest respect shown to his native language.
Aliyev spoke of Azerbaijan's rapidly growing economy.
The President said his country places particular emphasis on the development of culture and information technologies.
Dobrodeyev presented President Aliyev videotapes about Heydar Aliyev, which had already been aired by the VGTRK.
